Child & Youth Therapist
Locations: Lindsay, Ontario (Must be available for in-person)
Availability: Day/evening
Start date: Immediate
Trauma Resolution Centre is currently hiring a Child & Youth Therapist to provide in-person, trauma-focused therapy to children and youth in our Lindsay location. This position is best suited for a clinician who is passionate about working with trauma and practices from a trauma-informed lens.
Responsibilities
Conduct intake assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans for children and youth
Provide therapy using a range of evidence-based modalities through a trauma-informed lens
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices
Foster a safe, nurturing therapeutic relationship to support healing and growth with children/youth
Work proficiently within the established policies and procedures of the Trauma Resolution Centre
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
Current registration and good standing with an Ontario regulatory College
Valid professional liability insurance in Ontario
Demonstrated competency treating a broad spectrum of mental health concerns
Strong knowledge of Ontario child and youth laws and regulations
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated competency in at least one or more evidence-based treatment modalities, such as
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
Sand tray Therapy
EMDR
Narrative Therapy
Art Therapy
Demonstrated strong understanding of trauma and its impact on children and youth
Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must be comfortable working in-person
Interest in EMDR is required; professional development and training opportunities in EMDR can be provided.
Must have a strong passion for working with children and youth impacted by trauma

Responsibilities
Conduct intake assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans for individuals and/or couples.
Provide individual and/or couples therapy using a range of evidence-based modalities through a trauma-informed lens.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation aligned with your regulatory college’s standards.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices.
Foster a safe, nurturing therapeutic relationship to support healing and growth.
Work proficiently within the established policies and procedures of the Trauma Resolution Centre
Qualifications

Experience with third-party insurers (e.g., WSIB, NIHB, Blue Cross) is an asset.
Strong communication skills;
Commitment to ongoing learning and consultation.
Must be available to provide in-person services.
