Heather is a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. Heather holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, and is a Certified EMDR Therapist. Heather has advanced certifications in the treatment of addiction and mental health from the University of Toronto.

In sessions with Heather, you will engage in a journey toward self-discovery, personal growth, and enhanced well-being. Healing from trauma is a process, and Heather is here to gently guide you along your unique path.

Employing a diverse range of therapeutic modalities—including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and harm reduction approaches, Heather is equipped to provide a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your individual needs.  

Heather primarily provides individual psychotherapy sessions to youth (16+) and adults dealing with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • PTSD and Complex PTSD

  • First Responder mental health

  • Grief and loss (e.g., loved ones, pets, jobs, life transitions)

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Low self-esteem

  • Parenting challenges

  • Occupational stress

  • Chronic pain

  • Childhood trauma

  • Fertility issues, postpartum depression, and related concerns

  • Neurodivergent challenges

  • Minority populations stressors (ie. using traditional practices for Indigenous populations)

  • Extensive experience working with individuals in remote communities.
