QEEG & Neurofeedback Services (Ages 8+)
What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time monitoring of brain activity to teach individuals how to self-regulate their brain function.
Through specialized equipment and techniques, it aims to improve mental performance and emotional well-being by providing feedback on brainwave patterns.
Neurofeedback is covered under most insurance policies!
Neurofeedback training is helpful for a variety of mental health and medical conditions, including:
mental health
Addictions
Attachment/relational issues
ADD/ADHD
Trauma/PTSD and stress related symptomatology
Depression
Anxiety
Panic
Obsessive Complusive Disorder (OCD)
Performance/academic enhancement
Autism
Tics
Eating disorders
Learning disorders
medical
Chronic pain
Asthma
Regulating sleep
Fibromyalgia
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and concussions
Multiple Sclerosis
Stroke
Parkinson’s
Alzheimers
Autoimmune issues (like Rheumatoid Arthritis)
Skin issues
Vertigo
Blood pressure
Jaw clenching (TMJ)
Tinnitus
Headaches
Migraines
PMS/PMDD
Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) Analysis
At TRC, we offer Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG), an advanced, non-invasive neuroimaging technique that measures brain electrical activity through scalp electrodes. This cutting-edge procedure provides essential insights for diagnosing conditions such as epilepsy, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, and brain injuries.
What to Expect During Your Assessment
During your QEEG assessment, electrodes will gently record your brainwave patterns. Our sophisticated algorithms analyze these patterns, identifying any deviations from normal activity by comparing your results to a comprehensive normative database.
Tailored Insights for Personalized Care
Following your assessment, we will carefully analyze the data to provide personalized insights into your brain function. This allows us to develop customized treatment plans uniquely suited to your needs. Furthermore, QEEG enables us to monitor changes in brain activity over time, ensuring we track your progress effectively.
QEEG’s are a great way to develop a tailored treatment plan and to track progress.
QEEG Cost: $335.00

Neurofeedback Services
Infraslow Neurofeedback
Infraslow Fluctuation (ISF) Neurofeedback training focuses on monitoring the brain's lowest frequencies to regulate the autonomic nervous system, which controls our fight, flight, or freeze response.
ISF helps the brain communicate between the autonomic and emotional networks, aiming to establish a state of balance in the mind and body that promotes both calmness and alertness.
In simple terms, ISF training helps the brain shift from a state of stress to a state of relaxation.

During the initial session, the therapist assesses the duration and severity of symptoms to determine the most suitable neurofeedback training protocol.
In each session, the client's mental and physical state is evaluated, and electrodes are placed on specific areas of the head based on the training protocol. The training begins, and adjustments are made to the frequency as needed for optimization.
The changes in the autonomic nervous system state can continue or develop in the 24 hours following the session. Clients are required to complete a 24-hour symptom report to ensure that the training frequency is appropriate.

Z Score Neurofeedback
Z-score neurofeedback is an innovative form of therapy designed to normalize brain activity by providing real-time feedback on your brainwave patterns.
The goal of 19-channel Z-score neurofeedback is to empower you to achieve greater self-regulation of brain activity, which can lead to significant improvements in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functions.
This therapy is particularly effective for addressing conditions like ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and other neurological and psychological disorders.
-
During a neurofeedback session, individuals engage in activities designed to modulate their brainwave activity, such as playing video games or watching videos. The feedback they receive is typically presented in the form of visual or auditory cues, which change based on their brainwave patterns.
For example, if a person's brainwave activity moves closer to the normative average, they may receive positive feedback such as a reward in the game or a pleasant sound.

FAQ
-
The International Society for Neuro-regulation & Research lists hundreds of articles about the efficacy of Neurofeedback, including for conditions we support: developmental trauma, C-PTSD, PTSD, ADHD, addictive disorders, anxiety, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, depression, dissociative disorders, OCD, pain, migraine, insomnia, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, peak performance.
-
No. the feedback (rewards) are sounds only
-
Yes. Don’t worry we do our best to remove it, but it rinses out easily.
-
It is possible to experience side effects during/post training because we are supporting with shifting autonomic states. With Infraslow Neurofeedback we check in during training sessions and use the 24 hour report you complete post-session to work together to achieve optimization.
For those who have experienced chronic stress, trauma, and developmental trauma, sometimes the “side effects” are shifts towards rest/pair, however, your brain/body is not used to feeling safe and regulated which can trigger responses (anxiety).
-
It depends. I encourage individuals to give themselves 8-20 sessions to see changes in the area of interest (you can see changes earlier then this). The recommended frequency of ISF NFB is 2x weekly for the first month, if possible and then gradually reduce frequency.
Individuals with historical layers of stress, illness, injury, and trauma may require a lot more sessions.
Once homeostasis has been established individuals may come back on occasion for maintenance.
Ongoing stress in your environment or new stressful events can also precipitate return to previous ways of functioning; we typically see a much shorter course of training to be effective in this case.
