Melanie is an EMDRIA-approved and trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist who integrates polyvagal theory, Mindfulness, Gestalt, DBT, and Parts Work (Internal Family Systems) into her practice.

Her approach is person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused, emphasizing the client as the expert of their own life. She strives to create a safe, inclusive, and non- judgmental space where clients can feel warmth and respect, laying the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic journey.

Her lived experience with ADHD, combined with her background in conflict resolution, assertive communication, and intercultural skills training, informs her holistic approach to therapy. Melanie’s extensive experience supporting immigrants during their acculturation process has granted her valuable insights into the challenges faced by new Canadians.
